Prayercast--LORD, Teach Us to Pray

Updated: Oct 25, 2023

From their website, https://prayercast.com

"Prayercast exists to fuel a global movement of prayer for the sake of the lost. But victorious and world-changing prayer involves more than knowing what to pray for. We need to know how and why we should pray. These teaching resources are meant to awaken hearts and create a deeper understanding of the essential role prayer is to play in the life of the believer and in the Great Commission itself. Join us to explore why prayer is the first and most critical step in reaching people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ."

The tab, Prayer 101, includes a lot of good teaching on the subject of prayer, but it is available only on the desktop version of the website (you will not see it on your smart phone).

While it encourages me that when we pray, the Holy Spirit intercedes on our behalf... I still desire to pray better. God has answered that prayer over and over by giving me scriptures to pray for the Lost and for missionaries. And now I'm excited that He's given me new resources to improve my praying.

Prayercast includes several categories of prayer. You can pray for a nation--there is a long, alphabetical list. When you click on a nation, you'll find prayer points, a summary, quick facts and even a video. You can also pray for people who follow a certain religion--this is a much shorter list.

If you're the type of person that prefers/needs a plan, you can find several different plans on Prayercast (on the desktop version only). Using these plans, you can systematically pray for the world, regions, persecution and/or religions.

As much as I love Joshua Project, I plan to begin spending a lot of time on Prayercast. What a blessing that we have excellent resources, like these!
