Praying Scripturally for Orphans

Here is a prayer for orphans inspired by these scriptures:

Isaiah 1:17 Heavenly Father… Please, help me, the Summit Church and the worldwide Church, the Body of Christ, to take up the cause of the fatherless.

James 1:27 We know that it pleases you when we care for orphans in their distress.

John 14:18 So please God, call many of your disciples to follow the example of Jesus when He said, “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.”

Psalm 68:5-6 May we be like you, God, a father to the fatherless. Please… place these lonely children into families that you’ve prepared.

Galations 4:5-6 Just as we have been adopted by you, God, and we call you Abba, Father… let these precious children be adopted soon by a family filled with your love.
